| It will save your fingers and makes it so much easier, quicker and more efficient in getting full halves out of the shells. Used one for years, Prefer my pecans cracked, in-shell. Havent found anything that is a good substitute for this item. |

| I had a gallon or so of cracked pecans left over from the 8 gallons I cracked on Sunday. These worked great, 2 more quarts of shelled pecans for Thanksgiving and Christmas pies. |
